So, the months of June and July seemed like they were only a week long. DAMY Health was crazy busy with new and veteran members working on their summer bods! PS – wait until you see the transformations that are coming out soon! David finished his first year of Naturopathic Medicine, we visited our family for the first time in a year and a half, and we traveled for pretty much the entire month of July. Needless to say, my days have flown by. I had to quit checking my Facebook inbox. All it says at this point is 99+ messages unread. Sooo, yea. I neglected the blog for the month of July trying to just focus on my wonderful DAMY Members. Now I’m back in full force, fresh and ready to go!
What a great feeling it was to really relax for the month of July. Instead of my regular gym and cardio routine I took my workouts to the outdoors. It was a great way to shake it up! With travelling and camping I had to rely on workout bands and DAMY Health Functional Workouts. It was really great! I also relaxed with my eating a bit. I had a nice treat at least once per week and had a few drinks for the first time in months. It felt great but I’m surprised at how eager I was to get back into my regular routine. It feels so good. I’ve set some new personal goals and I’m using the Bikini Body Program to achieve those. I’ll keep you posted on my updates.
Last night I wanted a treat but wanted to stay on plan. So, I created these cocoa covered almonds. They are sweet without being too rich and are completely guilt free! I made two versions – one with protein powder and one with cocoa/stevia (for my vegan loves). Here is the protein powder that I’m currently using – I’m trying to find a regular brand to use for all DAMY Recipes so I’m testing out many different natural brands. Let me know in the comments below if you have any suggestions of brands I should try next. Only let me know if you love them. Anyways, here is the look of the label and the nutritional information:
This is a “throw together” recipe. There is no measuring involved. I’ll let you know roughly the measurements I used but again I just threw this together and it turned out awesome.

The PVL protein powder so far has been the best one I have found…its lower in calories fat sugar and carbs than any others Ive seen so far. I like the creamy vanilla for making protein bars.
