With Spring in the air this weekend I had to jump into some fresh Spring Recipes. I wanted to do a couple creamsicle-like desserts. The first on my list was to make an actual creamsicle.
I’m really happy with this recipe and the way it turned out. This is perfect for Spring and Summer!
This recipe only takes a couple minutes to throw together, pop in the freezer, remove and enjoy. For more of my protein popsicles and fudgesicles check the links below:

This may have seemed to be self-explanatory, but…..How much of the orange is being used? Are you using any zest? Just the peeled orange? or are you chopping up the entire thing and throwing it in the food processor?
Hey Brenda,
I used 3 whole, peeled oranges. Use you own judgement on using the whole or cutting them up depending on the strength of your machine.
Maybe you could add the word “peeled” to the ingredient list somehow:
“3 Extra Large Peeled Oranges”
OR
“3 Extra Large Oranges, peels removed”
OR
“3 Extra Large Oranges, peeled”
That would be very helpful. It is a fab recipe…
I keep trying to find this online .. but .. how much is 1 packet of stevia in terms of tsp/tbsp? i do n’t have packets.. just bulk.. so would 6 packets be about 2 TBsp?? Thanks!
Hey there! This is always different from brand to brand. My packets are about 1/4 of a teaspoon or one gram. All brands however differ in their sweetness. It is something you have to play with and find the right sweetness for you.
i had put them in dixie cups with a popicle stick in. left over i had put them in ice cube trays..there there bite size & they melt in your month.there good to have on hot days. i try to feed my kids healthy snacks one reason one of my kids have adhd. so this is better than freezes. with out the sugar. we all love this treat.!
Shouldn’t it say if you peel the oranges???
