I love simple. I love time-saving side dishes that make my life easier. This dish is one of those.
You can make this dish in a frying pan and have beautiful sauteed kale but for me I need time and I also like texture in my meals. So, with this recipe I put it in the oven and go get work done for 10-12 minutes.
Baking this in the oven makes some ends of the kale crispy which I love. This adds just a different flavor and feel to the dish that I personally enjoy more. And, again, remember you can be hands free for 10-12 minutes to do laundry or fix the rest of your meal.
This can be used as a side dish with any meal or in some unique ways I enjoy using it – In my household planning ahead and making large batches of certain foods helps us live a busy lifestyle. For instance we always have a large batch of quinoa in the refrigerator. To for a meal for lunch I can grab some pre-cooked quinoa, beans and this sauteed kale. That is a delicious, simple, super-clean meal that is thrown together in minutes.
For supper you can have this kale topped with any lean protein of your choice and some whipped cauliflower potatoes. This makes a low-carb fantastic supper.
This sauteed kale would also be beautiful over top of scrambled tofu or eggs.
So, with this one dish you have ideas for breakfast, lunch and supper.
This recipe is vegan, gluten free, dairy free, simple, spicy, cheesy and delicious.

This sounds wonderful, but where is the cheese?
Hey Linda! The Nutritional Yeast creates a cheese flavour that is vegan! So good 🙂 Enjoy!
These are sooooo goood. I felt like I was eating something covered in jalapeno cheddar dip and it almost felt like I was eating something unhealthy. It’s amazing how you can actually make our health food taste like junk food!!! 😀
Hey Pam! I know! Isn’t it the best 🙂 So happy you tried it and loved it!
I am addicted to this stuff! No lie, I’ve made it 4 times in one week. I eat it alone, on top of veggie burgers, in wraps..omg. I just can’t get enough of it. Thank you so much for the recipe!!
Hey Kristi! I am so happy you love it!!! I am so addicted to this too!!! I love that you tried it and enjoyed it 🙂
I made this tonight to go with our dinner as a side dish. Delicious! My son loved it too.
I really want to make these but I can’t have yeast! Can I leave out the yeast or can it be replaced?
I really want to make this but I can’t have yeast. Is there an alternative?
If I meal prep this on Sunday for the following week lunch, how long will it stay good if refrigerated?
